1982 - 1999 – The Beginning
Finetone Digital Imaging Services, a toner cartridge factory based in Long Island City, was building a reputable name for itself. Specializing in Hewlett Packard, Canon, Muratec, and Lexmark commercial printing products, Finetone refurbished, rebuilt, and produced premium toner cartridges for growing businesses throughout the United States. Over its years of continued success, Finetone grew to have satellite offices in Colorado, California, and Florida.
2000 - 2002 – Broadening the Spectrum
After nearly two decades of business prosperity, Finetone decided to expand its offerings. Merging with PCF Services, they now had the ability to offer their customers access to a cutting-edge service and tech department. With the capacity to both manufacture and maintain high-end toner cartridges, Finetone and PCF Services had become a reputable member of the commercial printing industry that many businesses sought after.
Shortly after merging with PCF Services, Finetone acquired an empty toner collecting company that had contracts with some of the largest corporations in New York State; driving from their headquarters in Astoria, New York, Toner Retrieve used 8-wheeler trucks making commercial pickups two to three times every week. This eco-friendly alternative to sending toner cartridges to landfills benefitted Finetone along with each company they were servicing; these companies would receive payments for the empty cartridges, and Finetone could then use those same cartridges for their own production or potentially offer them to overseas clientele.
2003 - 2005 – The Initial Development of FineStar Imaging
As Finetone Digital Imaging Services continued to thrive, the decision was made to merge with another titan of the commercial printing industry, the Laser Company of America; this merger resulted in the creation of FineStar Imaging. This expansion enabled us to provide expedited service and top-quality printing products to businesses throughout the greater New York area.
2006 - 2018 – Restructuring & Growth
While the collection, recycling, and redistribution of toner cartridges were an integral part of the commercial printing services’ business model for the past two decades, there has been a recent shift toward the necessity of high-capacity printing products and reliable IT solutions. In 2006, FineStar Imaging updated its corporate structure in order to further streamline customer service and distribution. This facilitated our capability to keep up with the rapid evolution of the commercial printing industry.
2019 - Present – The Birth of FineStar Imaging & ReVitaLaser
